Storyline The Balcony
Soviet eighties. A little town in the periphery. After his parents' divorce, 11-year-old Rolanas and his dad move in next door to same-aged Emilija. Friendship is born between the kids, however, shyness or fear of opening up makes them communicate through the wall, sitting in their own balconies, or through a socket connecting their flats. Emilija's parents also appear to be on the verge of divorce. The children discover common topics, activities. Unfortunately, a nearly tragic accident prevents Emilija to go to the balcony. I really was expecting a "skin flick" based on its lobby cards when I first saw this film adaptation of Jean Genet's "The Balcony" in the summer of 1963, but I was definitely in for an awakening -- rude perhaps but definitely an awakening.
The Balcony features an open-air rooftop bar and balcony bar. It features an American Fare inspired cuisine, craft cocktails and live dj.

The Balcony (French : Le Balcon) is a play by the French dramatist Jean Genet. It is set in an unnamed city that is experiencing a revolutionary uprising in the streets; most of the action takes place in an upmarket brothel that functions as a microcosm of the regime of the establishment under threat outside.
The Balcony itself is awesome. Great location. Great views. Very cool inside. The rest, however is terrible. The service was the WORST. Our entrees came before our app and drinks.
The Balcony is a restaurant on the first floor and has two bars on the top. The band plays their own jazz/soul renditions of songs we all know and love, while upstairs there is a DJ keeping the party going. From top to bottom the menu screams Cajun vibes and Louisiana-inspired dishes.
