Ahmad is a refugee from Syria, holding wishes of starting his own taxi service. When he loses his menial employment at a gas station, he attempts to navigate through the current American economy with optimism. Soon, reality settles in as consistent work is scarce. ReplyDeleteAs expected from any Studio Ghibli's films, The Wind Rises carries the standards of the studio --- beautifully done panoramic backgrounds, excellent animation and lovely background music. But I believe what truly endears Studio Ghibli's works to viewers are its impeccable story telling.
