Mayamohini is a 2012 Indian Malayalam comedy film directed by Jose Thomas and written by Udayakrishna and Siby K. Balakrishnan is in love with Maya, daughter of a wealthy businessman, who is against the relationship. So the couple elopes. But Maya leaves him soon after. When Balakrishnan’s uncle pays him a visit, he does not want him to know that his wife has left him. So he hires a woman, Mayamohini, to act as his wife. Mayamohini, in reality, is a man named Mohanakrishnan who is running from the police.
Mayamohini is a particularly bad example of this type of movies. I was turned off from the trailer itself, and decided not to watch it, but some friends told me that there's a rather good twist and reason for the act, and curiosity finally got the better of me.
